We decided to go to the park the other day. The weather has been sunny and nice so I thought it would be nice to get out of the house for a couple of hours and go to the park. The weather wasn't wonderful and it wasn't terrible about 40 degrees. It had rained the night before but that did not stop Shayd from drying all the slides off. His pants were so wet by the time he was done. Zayn got to go on the swing for the very first time. He liked it but he would just watch Shayd run all over the playground. It is sad to me that not even a year ago Shayd wanted me to everything with him and he was not the little daredevil that he is now. Time really does fly and it reminds me to enjoy this time with them now while they are little. I sometimes go crazy thinking that I need to be super mom and have a perfectly clean house and have all these hobbies and I should be able to accomplish so much in a day and really all I need to do is be a mom. The boys really won't remember if I have a few dirty dishes in the sink or if the floor doesn't get swept everyday. They will remember the times we went to the park on a frigid day in January and had a little picnic. Shayd helped me pack our picnic and my friend Trish and her little girl Riley met us there. We ended up going to Trish's house to eat, apparently they put the picnic tables up for winter!!! It was a great change to our everyday routine. I loved going and watching how much fun Shayd had playing!!! Few more months and Zayn will be running all over the playground with him!!!

What a great mom and you are so right about being the mom they need and not worrying about the rest. I have been reading "I am a Mother" by Jane Clayson Johnson. It has really helped me to remember how important my job is. Way to go Jess.

Amen about the dirty dishes and enjoying the kids. I'm learning that more and more. I can't believe are babies are getting so big!
